Session #1: Collaboration in Resiliency: Ensuring Continuity of Care
Healthcare Executives to discuss how executive leadership roles interact with supply chain operations and the broader impact supply chain has across the organization.
Speakers:
Dan Lewis
Dan Lewis began his professional career after graduating from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, working as a tugboat Captain transporting oil barges along the east coast. After several years at sea, he decided to pursue an advanced degree by earning his MBA from Suffolk University. Upon completing his MBA in 1996, he joined Mass General Brigham and is now the Executive Director of Supply Chain Operations. His responsibilities include management of Procure-to-Pay operations, Value Analysis, Supply Chain Systems, Content Management and Resiliency Operations.
Phil Stolaronek
Phil Stolaronek is a healthcare industry executive specializing in strategic partnerships with some of the nation’s leading academic medical centers and health systems. He currently serves as a Strategic Account Director at Solventum, where he works with organizations including NYU Langone Health, Mount Sinai, Yale New Haven Health, Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and the Northeast Purchasing Coalition on initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical innovation, and operational performance.
Joe Falzone
Joe Falzone is a healthcare sales executive with expertise in medical supply sourcing and strategic account management. A graduate of Stonehill College, Joe began his career in sales at W.B. Mason, where he honed foundational skills in client relationship building over two years. Joe then joined Medline Industries, LP, in March of 2016, serving as an Account Manager for the Boston/Rhode Island territory for six years, driving consistent customer success. In 2023, Joe advanced to Executive Account Director, leading Medline's strategic partnership and sales efforts specifically over Mass General Brigham, one of the nation's premier integrated healthcare systems.
Session #2: Mark Willis, LP.D, Professor of Practice in Healthcare Management, Stonehill College. He will be discussing supply chain risks, counterfeits in medical device space, and lessons from COVID.
Bio:
Professor of Practice in Healthcare Management Mark Willis, LP.D., joined the Stonehill College community in 2022. He has also taught at several other institutions, including Northeastern University, Bunker Hill Community College, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Willis has been in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry for the last 25 years working for companies such as Fresenius Medical Care, Becton Dickinson, Merck, Takeda, Stryker, and Roche. He started his own independent consulting company back in 2018. He consulted for the United States Food & Drug Administration, where he was brought in to develop a process to secure the healthcare supply chain during the COVID pandemic. Most recently, he has supported Medtronic streamline their processes and prepare their robotic surgical device for US market release.
Beyond his work in education and the healthcare industry, Willis is also an active volunteer for multiple organizations. He supports the United Nations as a healthcare policy subject matter expert and is on the World Health Organization’s roster of consultants for global patient safety. He is a Board of Directors member for a local federal credit union where he holds the Banking Policy Chain. Previously, he worked with the International Organization of Standards to update the global standards for Quality Management Systems.
In his spare time, Willis continues his research to improve the healthcare supply chain and mitigate the risk of consumers from receiving counterfeit pharmaceuticals and devices. He has the privilege to present his research globally at various conferences and as an ambassador for Fight the Fakes Organization.
We are pleased to offer Continuing Education Credits (CEC) for participation. Attendance will yield 1 credit per session (2 total CEUs if attending both) which can be applied towards the renewal of CMRP Certification and ACHE Certification.
